What is Strategic Intent?

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Every church and missions program has a unique missions DNA that is created by God’s calling on its leadership and congregational body. No two missions programs are the same nor should they be. Every member of a church body has unique gifts and passions that God has given them specifically, and the challenge is to help them discover what those are and how they can be used for God’s purpose.

This is especially so with a global ministry team. The challenge is to build a missions program that taps into that unique DNA in a way that not only builds excitement and participation, but more importantly – produces fruit for God’s Kingdom. When church members witness events, hear stories or see results of others being blessed, it creates a natural desire to be involved and participate in the blessing. They don’t want to miss out.

The idea behind Strategic Intent is to introduce a systematic approach to building a new missions program or-rebuilding and re-energizing a program that has either leveled off, lost its focus or is experiencing a decline in involvement or more importantly - results.

Many churches don’t realize they have a unique missions DNA, some never take the time to find out, and many simply don’t know how to find it. Strategic Intent will help your missions program discover its talents, its passion and its unique purpose in God’s Kingdom. And it will help you to share those gifts in a way that inspires the church body.

Strategic Intent is not a one-size-fits-all type of a program. It has been designed so that it can be used specifically for your global ministry program. It can be used as a complete program or utilized to address specific areas of need within your ministry. It can be instituted in any timeline that is comfortable for your individual program. Your team dictates what parts you use and the pace at which you go through the program.

What makes Strategic Intent special is that it creates a safe avenue for self-analysis. It will help your team discover strengths they never new they had. It will also show opportunities for improvement without placing blame. Strategic Intent will help you create and foster an environment of mutual respect, trust, responsibility, and accountability within your missions team.

But more importantly, Strategic Intent will help your team produce results. Because at the heart of this program is the purpose of helping every missions team produce more fruit for God’s Kingdom. This program will not only help you increase missions awareness, participation and support from the congregation, it will also help your church share the Gospel and bless others in a more tangible way that others can see.

How many more to the Kingdom be sent

if the Gospel was shared with Strategic Intent.
